Tornado Damages Property
On December 29th, Anderson County experienced 2
devastating tornados. One began just south of Lakeview and tore
through the south and west part of the property. Fortunately, no
major buildings sustained any heavy damage, though many buildings were
affected. The worst was damage to the Great Hall roof.
However, a precious and rare beauty unique to
Lakeview was completely devastated. The western woods along the
wilderness trail and Crooked Creek are totally decimated. The
destruction to the beautiful forest area begins just west of Fair
Village and continues past the Lake Lemons dam.
But thanks be to God for his hand in protecting
Lakeview and the lives of those on camp!
