Armed with mowers, chain saws, brush
hogs, tractors, and more, the folks of First United Methodist
Church of Athens have tackled the huge project of tree trimming,
brush clearing, and debris burning.

Beginning at the Tabernacle, the group
of hard-working men and women cleared the lakeside, trimmed up
trees and removed underbrush to provide a spectacular and
un-encumbered view of Lake Oliphint. Clearing this area
has made accessibility to Willie-Yak Cove and the Vesper Point
easier as well making the area much prettier.
And their work hasn't stopped there!
Morton Lodge and Wesley camp have benefitted from their hard
work as well. A HUGE "thanks" to our friends from Athens
for their labor and dedication!!!
